Have you anytime had Persian cotton treats? No doubt Muppet hair and recommends a flavor like pistachio — well, at any rate the one we ate in the studio.

We begin our show with one of the unprecedented craftsmen of the day, Kate Tempest. The British writer, writer and spoken word specialist has another record coming called The Book of Traps and Lessons. We play “Firesmoke,” a tune focused on her sweetheart. We moreover have new music from Japanese Breakfast, and as NPR Music’s Marissa Lorusso tells us, the entire tune was made and recorded by Michelle Zauner in a hotel in Bali.

NPR Music’s Lyndsey McKenna brings us music from Mannequin Pussy and a tune about what happens on the disadvantage of assumption, called “Put II.” Lyndsey in like manner brings us “Enthusiastic Bachelor” from Future Teens, a band that calls its style “Boston bummer pop.” And I have the briefest song in progressing memory from another trio I revere called Patio. This 1:35-minute pearl takes inspiration from a dream and features the triumphant line, “I trust I’m going to return home and check out Washer/Instead of contributing any more vitality with you.”
